Who are we working with?
We are extremely proud of the results we have achieved for our clients and the projects we have worked on. Here’s a quick peek at some of things we’re up to….
#ItMatters
It's turning into a "top career achievements" week! I love it when this memory pops up, reminding me of one...
We carefully choose the organisations and people that we work with. We're honored that our clients and colleagues have also carefully chosen us. Here are some things that they have said about us...

Over the several years I have worked with Eventy – Marketing and Public Relations I have always found that Helen and her team strike a difficult balance perfectly – catering to their clients’ interests and needs with great professionalism and enthusiasm, while being infinitely open and responsive to my own, admittedly often awkward, demands and requests. They are clear and concise in getting the client’s message across and will bend over backwards to also make their ‘product’ fit our exacting needs. They know who and how they need to target and will more often than not initiate conversations with us about how this can best be achieved, always following through to the end. Plus, they’re quite fun folk.

Business Cornwall have worked with the team at Eventy – Marketing & PR on a range of projects, from press releases, features and interviews, through to sponsorship of the magazine and our ‘Last Word’ section. Eventy carefully thinks through the different sections of our magazine and strategically matches up opportunities that we have with how to utilise them for the best results for their clients. The team is a pleasure to work with – not only in terms of their professionalism, but also in that they are so approachable and make things happen in a calm and positive way.

I have worked with Helen Mulhern at Eventy on several occasions, and have found her to be consistently enthusiastic about clients’ offerings, while understanding of our publication’s needs and limitations. Such an approach makes her a delight to work with as a PR, and results in the best possible showing for the client.

It’s great to have a really good, locally-based PR company like Eventy – Marketing & PR, who provide great local news stories and feature ideas tailored to Cornwall Life’s readership.

Helen and the Eventy team have shown what a great marketing and PR team can do. They’ve created a conduit between their clients and our readers. It’s a hard job to maintain as we’re fussy about what we put in front of our readership. Whether I am chasing a story involving one of their clients or seeking suitable subjects for a feature, the Eventy team have proved they can deliver what’s needed again and again.

Who’s the best PR firm around?” is a question we’re often (well occasionally) asked and it’s so often hard to say. Probably the best way of ensuring you’re front and centre of our sleep-deprived, story-chasing brains is to keep Team Insider topped up with food and drink though, so if anyone asks us that question this week, the answer is most definitely “Eventy Marketing & PR” which has celebrated its ninth birthday by sending out beautifully packaged cream teas from the good people at Cornish Cream – presumably to important people like fee-paying clients as well as scrounging hacks. Cream of the crop…

Helen and her whole team are a total delight to work with, so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and in every aspect of her work she excels and delivers much more than I’ve ever expected. Looking forward to the next project when we can work together and achieve further success. I’d highly recommend Helen and her whole team, trust me you’ll not be disappointed. Top Qualities: Great Results, Personable, High Integrity.

Bath Building Society
We wanted somebody to come in to both challenge our thinking on community involvement and the wider marketing agenda and roll their sleeves up and make things happen. As a result of Eventy’s work, we have regained momentum on marketing communications, and have had the most extensive favourable PR coverage in the Society’s long history. And we like working with Eventy – they’ve become part of the team. Several years after we worked with Eventy to launch the Charity Awards, they still form an important part of our community involvement programme. As a very good and well-though through idea, it has stood the test of time. The Charity Awards are a fair and efficient way of considering the very many requests we receive to support local charity and community projects. One of the benefits of the approach is that it does allow us to properly consider all requests without causing offence if we turn them down. But the real benefit of the scheme comes from the positive news that we create about helping good causes in our heartland area.

We are delighted with the results that Eventy achieved on our local and national PR. We had a huge amount of coverage across all major national titles – magazines and papers, and every local/regional publication that was appropriate in the county. National PR is notoriously hard to secure, but Eventy utilised their contacts and knowledge and we have been over the moon with what they achieved. The team is a pleasure to work with and I would recommend them to anyone that needs their services.

You have been completely instrumental to the success of our sponsorship of the Truro Half Marathon and it could not have been done this well with you. Your help on the day was invaluable too, it would have been a problem without your input. It’s been a real pleasure having you involved, and I look forward to raising the game next year. Thank you Helen.

Skinner’s Brewery
Since working with Eventy we have enjoyed significant coverage in a wide range of local and national publications. With something like a press release, being a full marketing agency, Eventy is also able to make it work that much harder for us. For example we now share our news through our Twitter account which Eventy has helped us to build to over 1,900 followers and is increasing every day. I try to ensure that the brewery supports the local community wherever it can and this is something else that Eventy is helping us to communicate more. Ultimately this will all help sales and therefore is a good return on investment for the company. Recently the “Royal Wave” that we launched to celebrate the jubilee sold out in a matter of days!

The Nare
Part of Eventy – Marketing & PR’s remit for the Fal River Autumn Festival, sponsored by The Nare, was to encourage visitors to the region during the Autumn months to take part in this walking event. Eventy secured a range of national coverage, from the Daily Mail and the Guardian to Country Walking Magazine and CountryFile. We were pleased to see national papers, lifestyle magazines, TV and online media covering the event.

Eventy uses the team’s marketing skills to think of creative ways for companies to support the local community – benefiting everyone involved. SJC have been proud to sponsor the charity teams that she has built in The Bath Half Marathon for a number of years and we are always delighted with the results. Eventy has used the Half Marathon as a way to recruit teams for charities that need to build their profile and fundraising income. As team sponsors, we have always received a great marketing return. From press releases and branding opportunities through to helping to support very worthwhile causes, we are always impressed with the work that Eventy does and look forward to continuing to work together in the future.

Tregenna Castle & Estate
Since working with Eventy – Marketing & PR we have enjoyed reviews from the likes of the Daily Telegraph, The Times, Daily Star, Coast, Prima, Escape Magazine and Pure Weddings – to mention just a few. We have also gained exposure through competitions in publications such as Take A Break, TV Choice and Wessex Water Magazine. These have all helped to raise our national profile, whilst we have also enjoyed significant coverage in local publications such as the Times and Echo, Cornishman, West Briton, Western Morning News, MyCornwall, and iLoveCornwall. Our on line presence has dramatically increased through Eventy’s use of social media tools on our behalf such as Twitter, Facebook and a news blog – ensuring that we communicate extremely well with guests and residents. We have benefited from events including St.Ives Food Festival, Fal River Festival, Tregenna Sand Castle Competition and St.Ives September Festival whilst supporting our local community and raising funds for charities such as St.Ives Surf Lifesaving Club and the RNLI. Eventy not only actively pursue these opportunities for us but also look after our brand – helping to co-ordinate all of our marketing activities and ensuring that they all work together. We are delighted with the team at Eventy who are a pleasure to work with.

Fal River Cornwall
It is always a joy to work with Eventy; their enthusiasm and genuine care for us and our business is faultless. We have worked with Eventy for some time now, and they have always done a fantastic job at promoting and co-ordinating our Fal River Festival, and in previous years Walking Festival. Helen and her team are constantly going above and beyond to ensure that we get not only the volume, but also the quality press coverage for the festival. No task is too difficult, and in most cases, their innovative thinking and planning has resulted in some of our best leads to date. Not only do they get the press releases absolutely right, but their thought and planning in organising press trips for the festival has led to great results for our business partners too. And to top it all off their work is extremely thorough and their reporting and evaluating process is of great value to us also.

Since starting to use Eventy’s PR services, we have been delighted by the increase in our press exposure. Helen Mulhern keeps coming up with excellent ideas for promoting our firm and then gently bullies us to make sure that these are put into effect. Robinson Reed Layton
When we first approached Eventy – Marketing & PR, we wanted help gaining coverage in the press. Eventy achieved this quickly for us and we soon engaged them as our marketing agency. Eventy make sure our PR works strategically alongside all of our other marketing tools. We want to focus on our marketing but don’t want to appoint a permanent marketing position in house, so Eventy is the perfect solution! We can scale activities up or down as required, without the overhead costs and HR commitments of an in-house marketing department. Essentially Eventy are our marketing department. We have one main point of contact, but a whole team behind our marketing. We are extremely happy with the results that Eventy have achieved for Robinson Reed Layton over a number of years.

Cornish Gems / Cornish Cribs
We employed Eventy – Marketing & PR at the end of 2009 to manage our public relations and haven’t looked back since. We have been marvelled by the results so far, even after a couple of months. Helen has identified and created a wealth of diverse editorial opportunities for our business and is assisting us in launching our new portfolio and brand ‘Cornish Cribs’. Helen has provided us with an outstanding amount of inspiration, energy, creativity and dedicated time to raise awareness of Cornish Gems during this challenging economic time and the start of our new venture. We certainly intend to keep utilising the services of Eventy and can’t recommend them high enough to any other Cornish business wanting this important facet of their business managed effectively.
Julianne Shelton, Sales & Marketing Director
Hartham Park
Eventy – Marketing & PR have been working closely with Hartham Park to enhance our public profile and create a brand identity which is both recognised by the public and in keeping with our ethos. Eventy are effectively our marketing department and are always reliable and available when we need them, whether it’s a face to face meeting, email or a phone call. We have a close relationship with Helen and the team, and they have given us both creative and sound advice on all aspects of our PR and marketing. They have taken care of many different aspects including beautiful brochures, flyers and business cards, as well as helping to raise our profile through various successful press releases, mailings, events and competitions.
Bernice Reed, General Manager
North Hill Estates / Perran Foundry
Twitter has been an important element of marketing our properties at Perran Foundry. Using it strategically to reach key audiences has led to a great deal of interest and sales. This is something that we did not want to undertake in-house and was very easy to outsource to Eventy – Marketing & PR. The team manage our account, with key scheduled posts and daily interaction that has proved extremely successful. Just between August – May 2014, Eventy have reached 300k people through our Twitter account – a specific targeted audience that would increase sales, as they focus on quality interaction.

Helen and Eventy were recommended to us by one of our clients who were really impressed by their contacts and ability to get a new brand recognised. They certainly lived up to our expectations, we were delighted by how much press coverage we received for our new business venture and also the way in which it was handled by the Eventy team. We were kept in the loop from start to finish and had a great assignment completion pack sent across with all the press clippings & online appearances for our company scrap book!

Trenython Hotel
Trenython have worked closely with the team at Eventy, on award entries. After talking about my passion and plans for the hotel, plus sharing thoughts on email, they translated this into a clear and concise application, making a strong argument for why we should win. Awards are extremely important to me. They show staff the fruits of their labour, whilst enabling me to thank them for all of their hard work. It also means the company leads by example externally – we hope that people will hear about what we are doing and adapt it to their own lives. Being shortlisted for or winning awards is great for the hotel’s reputation, but it also has the added benefit of the Trenython team attending some very swanky awards dos, with fantastic food and plenty of champagne – which is always a plus! Bring on the next one…
Nick Waddington, Manager
Seymac Distribution Services
I would like to say how pleased we were to be introduced to Eventy. In just a short time, Eventy have grasped the nature of our business and are professionally and successfully carrying out our P.R. campaigns. They are always looking at different opportunities for the benefit of Seymac Distribution Ltd and App for Cornwall Ltd and this enables us to carry on with our business with one less thing to think about. Thank you Eventy and here’s to a very happy working relationship!

A massive thank you for your help. I really didn’t know who to turn for to funding as the avenues that I’d hoped would be fruitful redirected their priority to Covid. This will make such a difference to our Christmas! Best wishes, Amanda

St Ives Biathlon / St Ives Surf Life Saving Club
Just wanted to drop you a note on behalf of everyone involved in this year’s Biathlon and St. Ives Surf Life Saving Club to say a big, big thank you for all your help and support in making our 25th Anniversary Biathlon such a huge success. Not only did you bring on board a record number of sponsors from far and wide (including Penwith College as our title sponsor), the press and media attention you created around the event was simply phenomenal, and certainly helped in achieving such strong support and participation on the day. Looking forward to an equally successful Biathlon in 2024! 🤞

Samaritans of Cornwall
Helen played an important role in supporting Samaritans of Cornwall through our £1.3 million capital development project. She helped us navigate and coordinate the funding landscape, bringing insight, professionalism, and a real understanding of the realities of working within a charity. Helen worked closely and constructively with me as Branch Director and with our Treasurer, always mindful that we are volunteers and treating that with great respect. We would not hesitate to recommend Helen and very much enjoyed working with her.

Julian House
Thank you for the sterling work that you did for us on our 2005 Challenge Events. Given the size of Julian House it would be very difficult for us to promote our current fundraising events as comprehensively as we would wish. This is very frustrating – we know we have good organisational skills but time and resources are a hindrance. I was confident that your experience and skills could materially help us in this respect and I wasn’t disappointed. The extra participants that you recruited for us has helped over the coming weeks I hope that we can meet up to talk about other projects. Again, thank you for your efforts on our behalf. Well done.

St Ives Bowling Club has been very fortunate to establish a sound working relationship with Eventy Marketing. Helen’s assistance with our Corporate Sponsorship has been highly productive and of immense assistance to our Club. Without doubt you are assured of a great work ethic and a shared passion for your business or enterprise.

Thanks Helen. We are highly impressed with the work you have done and are sure that it will bear much more fruit. Having pushed them to employ a professional fund raiser, I am more than happy that I am being proved right! The meticulous way you have approached the task has been particularly impressive!! The end story will be, we’re sure, even better!!!

We have benefitted greatly from the Twitter training provided by Helen at Eventy. As a charity, we increasingly rely on social media as a means of interacting with our existing supporters, and reaching out to potential new donors. We already had a fairly well-established Twitter account, but Helen was able to provide some really helpful in-depth ideas and advice on how we could enhance our activity. Helen tailored the advice specifically towards our needs, helped significantly by her own past fundraising experience. Since the workshop, our interaction on Twitter has improved dramatically and we have been able to really start using Twitter as a powerful tool, rather than a fun toy.

Countryside Mobility
Eventy – Marketing & PR have been a great asset to us and have helped us reach an extremely wide audience and significantly raise our profile. As a charity with limited resources, we have to invest any available budget extremely wisely and Eventy have secured us thousands of pounds worth of media coverage. As well as securing features in local and national print publications, they have also secured numerous online features, blog posts and developed and managed our Facebook and Twitter accounts. This has resulted in a big increase in social media interactions which has helped us to reach a new audience. The Facebook competition and social media posts they have created are running particularly well and have been set up in such a way that our social media can be more easily managed by us after Eventy’s time with us has ended. Rebecca and Helen are clearly experts in their field, professional, reliable, are a pleasure to work with and most importantly they deliver results. When we have secured more funding we look forward to working with Eventy next year.

I would thoroughly recommend the team at Eventy as for me they are simply the best… They have been indispensable to my business as I was initially green about PR, marketing and social media. However Helen and her staff have patiently and efficiently guided and educated me. Their advice, support and expertise have enhanced my business immeasurably providing excellent Facebook and Twitter training as well as securing features in local print publications.

The Invitation Book
Thank you for helping us to launch The Big Fundraiser / Invitation Book in Bath. For the success of our initiative it was important to work with someone who could focus on Public Relations – both in terms of connecting with the right people and press relations. Your wide range of contacts across the corporate, charitable and media sector were invaluable and helped place us with some of the most prominent organizations in the city. Often finding a way in or talking to the right person is the most difficult part and Eventy helped get us through the doors and in discussions with the right people. Thank you!

Helen is a highly innovative and professional marketeer and PR practitioner. Over the 15 or so years that I have known her I have seen first-hand the quality of her work and stunning results that she achieves. When we were looking for and outside speaker to give my fundraising team a wider market perspective she was the obvious choice for me. Once again she didn’t disappoint.

We had never entered a team into a running event before, but we wanted a new way for our supporters to be able to help us. The Bath Hath Marathon seemed like the perfect opportunity but we were a little unsure how to go about recruiting a team and how to maximize the fundraising potential. With considerable experience, Eventy was the perfect solution and we have been really pleased with the results. £10,000 income with very little work is the perfect fundraising initiative!
Shirley Carmichael, Fundraiser
Bridge Care
Helen Plummer and her team at Eventy have worked in a fundraising capacity for Bridge Care since March this year. Helen had not had much previous experience working within the older persons’ sector but very quickly gained an understanding of the specific needs that this sector represents. We have found the team very enthusiastic and dedicated. They represent a range of skills and expertise that are put to good use in raising our profile locally and investigating and researching possible sources of funding. By understanding our needs Eventy has been able to specifically target trusts and organisations who are prepared to support specific projects. Eventy is also quick to take initiatives and regularly thinks outside of the box. One secret of Eventy’s success is the team’s tendency to inform itself of how we operate through attending functions and interacting with the home. We have no hesitation in recommending Eventy’s services.
