With tshirts, banners and posters going to print, it’s starting to get exciting!
I’ve been working with St Ives Surf Life Saving Club for about 10 years now, looking after their corporate sponsorship and helping with PR for the St Ives Biathlon.
St Ives is my my home-town and every year I’m proud and delighted when the community rally around the charity’s flagship event. I’m especially pleased when sponsors continue to return to the event year-on-year, as well as being joined by new ones.
2025 is turning out to be a record year – with 32 generous and enthusiastic businesses supporting the event, who are an absolute pleasure to work with; plus wonderful new headline sponsors – Cornish Riviera Holidays, who have supported the Biathlon and the town for many years.
The last couple of weeks have seen tshirts, posters and banners designed, carrying sponsors’ branding, which are now on their way to print. Whilst online registrations have begun and momentum is building.
So if you’ve been tempted to dip your toe in the water and take part, now’s the time to commit! Registering via the online entry now guarantees your free tshirt, plus other goodies including a pasty and a pint courtesy of Cornish Bakehouse and The Sloop – which has become a Biathlon tradition; there’s also a rumor of giant chocolate drops from Carbis Bay Holidays, a £50 spot prize from Cornish Spliced and a special edition Biathlon Jute bag from Cornish Riviera Holidays.
Plus of course the entry fee raises vital funds for St Ives Surf Life Saving Club to help the charity to educate our lifeguards of the future, keeping people save in the water and sharing knowledge about our coastline and sea.
